TOTAL SOLAR Eclipse - AUG. 21, 2017
On a school trip to Maupin, Oregon while teachers and my fellow classmates set out to watch the total solar eclipse, I set out to photograph it. After weeks of planning and practice, I was ready the morning of August 21st, 2017 to capture what would be one of my most favorite and cherished images. During the 2 hours and 34 minutes of the eclipse, I captured 987 images and used several to compose the image you see above.

Lunar Eclipse - Jan. 31, 2018
This composite photo contains a series of images of a total lunar eclipse shot on the morning of January 31st, 2018. It also happened to be a super moon, blood moon, and blue moon. It was taken in atop Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek, California (37.900, -122.028). The shots range from 3 am to 7 am. In order to capture this image, I woke up at 1:50 am to hike to my location and set up my camera. I spent the remainder of the eclipse camping out as the sky got dark as the moon faded away, and lighter as soon as the sun began to rise. I continued to shoot until the moon set.
